steviedee Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 Looking for suggestions for a very small DI for under my board. Smallest I can find is a Radial Stagebug at 34mm but that’s cutting it fine. I don’t actually need a DI as it’s a balanced out from my effects unit but I always like having one or a line isolator. Sibob Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 (edited) Orchid designs do a Micro DI. Only downside is that there's no Thru on this version. UK based and they can do any custom shop elements too. http://orchid-electronics.co.uk/micro.htm Si Edited September 8, 2023 by Sibob Quote

EBS_freak Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 Do you need it to be passive? Or is phantom powered OK? I'm guessing battery is out due to the size? I'll thrown in the Fischer mini DI... you need smaller than that? Cos you could be out of luck if you are! 1 Quote
EBS_freak Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 Actually, scratch that... now we are talking... https://www.gak.co.uk/en/se-electronics-dm3-dynamite-inline-active-di-box/959243 3 Quote
steviedee Posted September 8, 2023 Author Posted September 8, 2023 Passive would be good but phantom also fine Quote

Downunderwonder Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 Rolls make one that isn't square but it is TINY, like you would mistake it for a box for spare fuses. 1 Quote
Al Krow Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Use a balanced cable and dispense with rhe need for a DI box? Quote

itu Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 (edited) https://www.neutrik.com/en/product/na2m-j-tx I built the same transformer to a round Neutrik XLR - jack connector set. But as commented earlier, no through jack. Therfore this is usable with double output pedals like with a stereo chorus. Edited September 12, 2023 by itu lerning towrite 1 Quote

Jack Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 There's the Triton Audio ones, but like the SE mentioned above they are cylinders. I have one of these that I put into a 1590a but you could go much smaller if you wanted. Quote

Paddy777 Posted October 24, 2023 Posted October 24, 2023 These Orchid electronics DI’s are fantastic for the money - if you do some Googling you’ll find loads of good reviews, I’ve used their DI for various stuff over the years including recording and it’s up there with Radial JDI etc Anyway they do a Micro DI, here which could work maybe? https://www.showbitz.co.uk/product/orchid-electronics-micro-di/ 1 1 Quote
