Very widdly jazz - Hiromi (with Hadrien Feraud)

This just popped up for me - properly widdly but some lovely grooves and playing by all concerned:

 

 

Hiromi has a great ear for bassists - she's played a lot with Anthony Jackson over the years.

Loved Anthony Jackson with Hiromi. HF is a great player. I'm jealous, I could memorize about the first 30 seconds of the first song.

And Tony Grey too, but my favourite is, of course, Anthony Jackson: simply amazing groove.

There's nothing not to like about Hiromi (especially with AJ) and all is good on this video. But I must say, the Trumpet player Adam O'Farrill, is a bit special.

Ahh, right...

I only discovered Paolo a couple of years ago during the lockdown, and I have not really listened to his Trumpet playing that much.

What I have heard sounds lovely, also he's a wonderful Flugal Horn player with a smashing tone.

Wonderful accomplished playing by all but she is wonderful.

I've only heard a bit of her music before, back when Anthony Jackson played the bass, but I've really liked everything I've heard with her so far.

 

But I like me some trumpet, great addition, and wonderfully played.

 

Also you can really tell Hiromi puts her entire being 100% into the music when she plays, but really all the musicians in that video are pretty amazing.

Bass probably supports the amazing pianist. Trumpet is good, too, but the piano is really special.
