What do You think about these "hand makers" ???  I have got 1, 5 string fretless, neckthrough from them - pretty cool and not a lot of money.

I like the 7 string neck through with the natural finish. 

That said our own @Lukasz Chyla has some amazing looking basses for sale on eBay currently at properly sensible prices which, if I had the cash, would jump on.

At the moment we are spoilt for great builders, how many can continue to make a decent living from it we've yet to see.

At D'alessandro You can order a custom made bass or guitar from A-Z. I think they start from 1200e.
