redbandit599
Hi all I've just got a secondhand Ipad to mount on my mic stand so I can mix my in ears - I'm sure others do similar things too. Anyhow, I thought it might be handy to be able to power it in case it runs out of battery over the course of a gig. This helpful Youtube video made up for my lack of electrical savvy and I've just tried it and it works! Just thought it might be handy to know. I'm using a 12v supply from my Truetone CS7 - don't forget to reverse the polarity!
Elfrasho
Good video but what maniac would design a multi pedal controller that only takes USB power! ha
Jean-Luc Pickguard
I've recently upgraded from a pedaltrain with a caline power thing to a Harley benton spaceship power 50C board which has all the psu gubbins incorporated into it and is an absolute marvel. In addition to umpteen outputs for powering pedals, there's also a USB socket on the back for charging/powering phones/tablets.
redbandit599
In case anyone is interested this is how I've mounted it under my pedal board. A bit Heath Robinson but think it'll do the trick. The unit is just stuck in the pipe using a small stack of those self adhesive pads you use for craft stuff. Bassman68
My Harley benton power brick has a usb output, also I usually run an extension power lead which has usb outputs as well as plug sockets, which I use to plug any pedalboard into as well as a mini-fan I can clip on my mic-boom on those hot/sweaty nights…
