Rumple
I have an Ashdown EVO 500 amp head coming soon so I have to let this go. I think most of you know the score with this head but the basics are 350 watts into 4ohms, valve pre amp and solidstate power amp. Excellent working order, Cosmetically all the knobs and fader work and the front and back panel are in very good condition, the top has some scrathes that can be seen in the pics and there are a few odd screws holding the corner protectors on, put it in a rack and none of that would show £160.00 collection from South London. Dr.Dave
Great amps , these. I'd buy it if I wasn't sorted and so should you. If anyone is put off by the fact that the screws holding the corners on are odd - don't be. I had my rack mounted 3500 stolen and consequently all the corners , screws, handle etc are packed away in a box that I still have. If you buy this amp and you want them , PM me. No charge but you can get me a pint sometime.

Richard[/quote] That is a flippin barain price for this amp - I bought ine for £250 a little over 2 years ago and it is a fantastic amp with tons of punch and clarity, and the tube preamp gives it a lovely warm tone when required. Jase
Are you desperate for the cash, how long would you be prepared to wait? I'm looking for a new head, could be over a week before I get the cash.

Jase
I've never used Hartke, would you say it was powerful, loud, punchy?

Powerful, Loud and very Punchy. If my amp wasn't so reliable i'd be seriously interested in snapping this up as a backup. I bought my Hartke a few years ago 2nd hand for significantly more than this one is going for. It's got my recommendation.

But to answer your question, all hartke gear ive ever had has been reliable, NEVER ONCE let me down, and sound wise the 3500 is punchy as you like, as powerful as you will ever need, and loud enough to cut through in a band situation. I'd keep the Hartke if at all possible, I've had my HA3500 for 5 years and its never let me down and done everything I've ever asked of it. I would never change it for an Ashdown of any description. Rumple
Blimey you guys are very persuasive, what I have decided to do is withdraw the amp from sale, I'll keep the HA3500 till I have tried the Ashdown in a band rehearsal or two. To be fair to Jase if he get the money together before Sunday the 16th I'll let him have it. Thanks for all the input. much appreciated. R.
