Eight
If I was going to buy a separates rig to replace my combo I would probably go for one of Alex's cabs
The Barefaced Compact seems like a really strong contender at the minute on the cab side - from everything I've read so far, they seem like little miracles. Thanks for all the amp head suggestions so far as well guys. I'm going to take another look at the Ashdowns, and check into the Line6s, Aguilars and Hartkes, all of which I know absolutely nothing about. Good job I'm not in a rush - this could take some time to settle. Although the more I talk about it all, the worse the GAS gets. iamapirate
I've got an ashdown EVO III MAG-300 Combo with 4x10" speakers and it's perfect for what I use it for (small/medium gigs: the kind where you turn up and you have no techie). Hartke are good for something with a bit of natural 'growl' and, I suppose in theory, metal.
