Squier Precision Bass Special P/J - £185 - *SOLD*
£200

Here is my excellent and very funky Squier Precision Special. Don’t be put off by the name, this is a wonderful bass with the full P/J pickup combination and slim, jazz neck.

This has been played and gigged a lot but now isn’t.

The pots have been replaced as has the jack socket. This makes it more playable and was essential to give me the confidence to gig it, which I did with no trouble!

Now £185 without the Chromes.

I had a Squier PJ made in Indonesia- it was superbly built, and sounded great. Fab value for money. This is a great price, and Burns Bass is a top fella to deal with. GLWTS Lawrie 😀

These are great basses and punch well above their lowly branding.

Agreed. It's the perfect jam session, gig bag bass I found.

If this is half as good as mine then it's still excellent. As well as playing and sounding great (I put SD-QPs in mine) it also has a lovely tough paint finish that will keep looking good for years to come. The neck on mine is thin like a matchstick and fantastic to play

I had one in mirror black (fingerprints!!). As pointed out above, they punch well above their pricepoint - the option of the PJ pickups give the best of both worlds and a huge tonal palette.

There are worse ways to spend £200...not many better though.

Can we now ask you politely to post Lawrie  😂

That message came after I explicitly advertised an item for collection, the guy bought it then asked me to post it. It caused me untold hassle and ended up with him threatening to come up and punch me. I replied “you can pick up the amp when you arrive you *expletive deleted*”

Then I got a nice email from someone and I realised Basschat wasn’t eBay.

So I’m happy to post it, but only if you’re nice!

That’s not always true. But by and large in my 20 odd years as a member this has been the case most of the time.

What's the weight if you don't mind?

4kg but it’s sold now, so it’s weighing slightly more (in its package!)
