risingson
Heard the John East is good, was considering putting it in my Jazz with some Nordys but prefer passive basses. Might want to consider the Sadowsky floor preamp as well?

YouMa
As regards to the east i always see them come up second hand on here but never the auderes i dont know if this is because less people use the audere or more people keep them,as soon as i have some spare wonga im putting one of these in my jazz. Go to the otherside of the pond... there are a lot less East units.
OutToPlayJazz
I have the Sadowsky preamp/di pedal which is very good - The plus side being you can keep your jazz original. If you want 3-band have a look at the Aguilar Tone Hammer.
plumbob
+1 for the East Had a marcus retro fitted to my miller bass ,and it pretty much does most things now. I think the j retro deluxe is basically the same circuit ,but by all means check this with Mr East himself, Johns a great guy , and very helpful . risingson
Why specifically Nordys?
I wanted the NJ4SV's instead of the stock Fender U.S pups for a change, and for humcancelling capability. I still will probably do this, but the actives don't really appeal to me. I'd consider looking to Dimarzio as well.
