Clarky
https://www.notreble.com/buzz/2023/10/04/ashdown-introduces-the-pro-di-pedal/ The webpage from Ashdown: https://ashdownmusic.com/products/ashdown-pro-di-1 Its on 3 week pre-order at Bax for £239. Its entering a pretty crowded space but that price seems competitive (more so than the £299 on Ashdown website) Edited October 9, 2023 by Clarky
javi_bassist
I think the price is really good. I already have their OriginAL preamp and I think it's the same except for the tube. The OrginAL is in a price point where other competitors offer much more features and IRs, so I think they cannot beat them (even though the preamp sounds beautiful, with some flaws like a really noisy headphones out). But it is a nice preamp overall. This new Pro-DI gets rid of the tube to be cheaper I guess. And I like the format with the VU. PS in the Ashdown website the golden OriginAL is cheaper than the red OriginAL.
Lozz196
Darn, there goes another £239 (or at least it will when I get home lol) Whilst I liked the OriginAL pedal the amount of drive on it was pretty much unusable, hopefully with the Drive Level this will enable much better control. Lozz196
Up to 9 weeks now - kind-of put me off.
MichaelDean
I'll never understand why they must insist on "launching" products when it isn't available to buy. A Google search can't even find a teaser video for it. Same with the new Roasted series basses - there is a bit more about them online, but still not available to buy, just pre-order. Launch it when you have the product to sell! They're just killing any new product buzz they might get by constantly jumping the gun. 2
police squad
I've just found this thread, as I was looking into whether Ashdown did a pedal like this (as my Police Tribute has gone completely IEM) Bax shop had one left in stock at £239 so I bought it. It's a while till our next gig but I'll take it along (with my bass gear, Just in case) and will try it live
