BassBeast
Hello team, As the topic title suggests, I am hoping you have some experience with analog delay pedals on your bass. I have the Nemesis Delay by Source Audio but thinking it's time to get something else... Doesn't sound that analog to me. The reverse on the Nemesis isn't that good as far as I can hear... Any ideas? Experiences? Thank you! Edited October 15, 2023 by BassBeast
jimbobothy
… will you be able to get an analogue delay with reverse that isn’t digital? As far as analogue delays I’ve got a few MXR Carbon Copy delays that I like. I also recently got the Dr. J Shadow Echo, and if you didn’t tell me it was a less expensive pedal it’d be hard to realise, it great. LukeFRC
You’ve played with the editor for the Nemisis? None of the options get you closer to what you want?

Zoom B1on or B1Four? The reverse delay on the Zoom B1on, B1Xon, MS-60B and MS-70CDR is indeed pretty damn amazing. Especially if you throw some subtle spring reverb in front of it, which these units would be capable of as well. And the two latter would tick the box of being compact too. Baloney Balderdash
There's also the reissued Danelectro Back Talk, which is a combination of analog and digital delay, though exclusively a reverse delay, but a pretty amazing and very analog sounding one at that. BigRedX
How is reverse delay done in real time? Since it is virtually impossible to predict what note anyone is going to play next I assume it's all done with envelope shaping?

No one in this thread is talking about a reverse effect in real time. But yes, the EHX Attack Decay pedal uses envelope to simulate sort of a reverse like effect in real time, not what is discussed here however.
