The possibility of someone changing two letters is mentioned in the OP: change two letters and get a Paddington Hard Stare. I changed two letters, I got a Paddington Hard Stare, and I didn't have to write Carter The Unstoppable Sax Machine. It's been worth it.

Am I missing something, or does the title say “a single letter”? I took that to mean “one”. 
thanks for dissing my contribution though, appreciate that. 
 

the “tell a lie about previous poster” thread features the same general adherence by most posters to the rules, with a mild rebuke to those who pick someone from three hours ago. You’re not being singled out here.
