I seem to have inherited/ended up with a set of Rotosound Steve Harris flats.  I can't tell you much about it, other than that they are heavy-gauge at 50-75-95-110, because I've never tried them and, indeed, have never opened the pack.

These are £45 on Amazon (bear with me!); £45 on Andertons (but out of stock); unavailable on Bass Direct (apparently they don't do Rotosounds at all); unavailable on PMT; but - wait for it - £59.99 on Strings Direct.  Probably tells you all you need to know about Strings Direct: not that they take the p*ss, but that you need to check first before buying, particularly with unusual or recondite gauges.

Anyway, I'm not going to upset my Shuker setup with these, but you might want a heavier, thumpier flatwound for your signature tone.  Why not?

Worth a try?

Pete
