Barking Spiders Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 When you're playing bass at a gig ...does your face err more towards ... this or ....this Quote
Lozz196 Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 (edited) Def the latter for me, I’ve been described as looking like I was staring people out whilst on stage when in fact I was just looking at the audience to see if they were enjoying the gig. I try to remember to smile as I’d prefer to look simple & happy than aggressive. Edited November 7, 2023 by Lozz196 1 Quote
EssexBuccaneer Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 I’ve been told that I’m not like most bass players, because I’m “not the boring one standing around looking serious” 1 Quote
Jackroadkill Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 (edited) Definitely a gurner. Edited November 7, 2023 by Jackroadkill 1 Quote
Rexel Matador Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 Definitely more of an Ox than an Este here. Except for the regular winces when I hit a bum note. 1 Quote
Old Horse Murphy Posted November 8, 2023 Posted November 8, 2023 I generally look bored and grumpy, but really I'm trying to count and remember what comes next. 1 2 Quote
Franticsmurf Posted November 8, 2023 Posted November 8, 2023 I've been trying to remember to make more eye contact with the audience. Here is a recent lapse. Quote

tauzero Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 "Unresponsive" may be the best description. Mrs Zero keeps telling me I should smile more. Quote
