Hey folks, just wanted to reach out to the community to see if there are any recommendations for Amp repairs in South West UK?

A couple of years back my Orange Terror Head gave out during a sound-check, and I've foolishly let it become an expensive paper-weight; I've inspected it myself and got the father in law to take a peek, but no luck.

This piece of kit at least deserves someone who knows what they are doing or looking for to take a peek!

cheers!

I'd recommend Tube N' Truss in Cornwall but Chris might not take it on as he specialises in vintage amps (he did a stellar job on my old Marshall Super Bass, for example). He may be able to recommend someone else in the area though, however I suspect that Cornwall is a bit too far afield from Bristol for you anyway?

I think there’s a chap in Brislington who does amp repairs - I’ve not used him, but friends have recommended him to me. Called Martin Bailey I think.

If you have no luck your side of the bridge this guy is well thought of, out Usk way in South Wales, I've not had cause to use him personally but follow him on FB, and he certainly knows his way round valve amps, I'd think if your Terror is fixable he can do it.

I think @basstone does amp repairs. Send him a pm and ask.

Indeed I do. I am based in Wookey Hole, so not far from Bristol. I would be happy to have a look to see if it is cost effective or possible to repair it.
