NoLogic69
Hi there, I'm wanting to get some valve warmth into my sound and have heard good reports about the DHA VT1-EQ bass drive. I am using a LM II to gig with and was wondering if anyone out there was using this amp and pedal. I am not really looking to overdrive my sound too much, mainly wanting some valve warmth and fatness. I know the LM II sounds great as is, will this pedal improve it further? If someone has one for sale, please let me know. Your views appreciated, Mario. Edited May 14, 2009 by NoLogic69
NoLogic69
Would also be interested in your veiws on the Tech 21 VT Bass pedal. Especially if you,re using one with a Mark Bass LM II. Cheers!!
dannybuoy
Either pedal will do what you're looking for. I've owned a DHA VT2 and now have a VT Bass with a Markbass combo (same amp as the LMII). Both pedals can be EQ'ed flat to give a bit of tubey warmth. Either will do an admirable job, it'll be down to your tastes as to which sounds better to you - if you can manage to find them second hand at least you can try them wihout losing out on much cash! You might be fine with the simpler and smaller VT1 standard if you don't need the extra bells and whistles!
