Anyone tried the Integral Close Miking System?

I was reading about them recently and wondered if there is any experience with using them on Barefaced bass cabs? 

I'm considering putting one on my BTII cab if there is any good feedback about them. If so how did you mount the mic socket as it looks like i would have to cut a hole somewhere on the cab for to mount the xlr socket.

I guess not. But i have shelved the idea after more on-line searching and a brief chat on the BF facebook group.
