Guest
I was a Kiss fan from the age of five or six. I was madly into them as kids can be and dreamt of being like them I guess. My father played guitar and got me one and taught me some chords and old songs with some rude words replacing the original ones to make it more interesting for a kid. I'll always be grateful to him for that. I also went to kids guitar group lessons held by kids in their early teens and I enjoyed it a lot. We then moved to a more posh area and they all liked pop music. I hated it there but still wanted to play guitar so I got signed up to a course but as there was a demand to buy and use a foot stool that was the end of that. I never cared much for fashion or appearance but a foot stool? No. I started playing again three or four years later at my own accord playing music I actually liked poorly and will keep on doing so as long as I can and enjoy it. In that vein, in my later endeavours, I was the only to show up that could read dots, thanks to violin studies.
msb
Had I realized I’d still be dragging my gear into dive bars almost fifty years later , I might have had second thoughts.
