Setting up midi control of Darkglass photon using HX effects

HI all, does anyone have experience of setting up the HX effects to control the midi capabilities of the AO Photon? Specifically;

 

- Can you assign midi control in snapshots to allow different settings on the Photon ? |(I think I can it's probably all to do with Q2)

- Which channel and CC# numbers are you using?

You can send Program Change and/or Control Change messages with snapshots and footswitches. You assign them in Command Centre. I have never used an AO but I'd suggest looking at the manual for the PC and CC numbers. And you'll need a MIDI adaptor cable too.

If it’s the same as my infinity was you have to get a special midi trs cable as the standard trs midi cables didn’t work, something about the dg being type A over type B can’t exactly rem

 

however they are super easy once that’s sorted to send pc and cc messages to

Thanks all, yeah I have midi to TRS type B, i previously set up simple midi commands with a Tech 21 Midi Moose and the ADAM, but I just can't seem to get it to work with the AO and the HX Effects. Might have to pop an email over to Darkglass...

Check that both devices are set to the same MIDI channel.
