My first recording !

Here's a little tune I'd written ages ago but never gotten around to recording.. rendition is not perfect but I have a short attention span ! Inspired by Steve Lawson's Grace & Gratitude.

Recorded using Warwick Corvette $$ into Behringer V-Amp and Audicity. All clean apart from solo which has a little reverb on it. There's probably a lot I could do with it to improve it but I haven't the time .

Yeah, pretty good.When you mentioned the V-AMP I half expected lots of swirly noises etc.

Haha, it can do a lot of weirdo spacey noises but I kept it to being a preamp .

Pretty good for a first go I think, but I've never got round to properly recording something myself yet.

The only thing that bothers me is where you can hear your fingers sliding down your roundwound strings, which I believe you can use a de-esser to reduce. But in another way I think it kinda adds something to it.

Oh yeah and the was a bit of a sharp volume peak right at the end which could possibly reduce.

But all in all it was not bad by any means.

Yeah - was having issues with trying to stop it clipping at times, I think I rushed it at the end. Had to use a different MP3 converter as it sounded terrible first time round as well.
