neepheid Posted December 16, 2023 Share Posted December 16, 2023 A "you might not be fine" here - one time I was impatient and tried to use long scale flats on a short scale bass, when I was winding the E string onto the tuner, the string basically exploded and unravelled as it was being bent round and tightened up.
