Really? Maybe a tiny, tine bit at the very beginning (Queensrÿche EP and The Warning) but later albums? For example, Operation Mindcrime (BTW, one of the best concept albums of all time, in my humble opinion) does not sound anything like IM. Check out my favourite Valentine's Day song as an example 😉

I always thought that Venom - widely held to be the band that kicked off an entire plethora of extreme metal sub-genres - sounded like a sh!t Motorhead knock-off with added Satan.

 

That doesn't mean that I didn't quite like them.
