Dad3353 Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 Probably that there 'artificiel intelligence' showing off again. I did note that the drum fills have not been inverted, though, so 'Poor show' from me; I'll not be buying the album. Quote
Downunderwonder Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 The explanation vid tells what is going on. Whether it was a good idea or not, dunno, take happy happy tune and turn it emo for kicks? Quote
musicbassman Posted December 19, 2023 Posted December 19, 2023 I'm surprised this topic hasn't attracted more comments and opinions - it's a fascinating concept. Both Jacob Collier and Adam Neely have put up videos with fairly clear explanations of the musical mechanics of this idea, but maybe the easy win would be for harvesting fresh songwriting ideas. How about this negative harmony version of the rickrollers favourite. 2 Quote
EMG456 Posted December 19, 2023 Posted December 19, 2023 I read the topic a couple of days ago but didn’t have time to play the song. Now I have and I’m intrigued. There’s a version of Bohemian Rhapsody on there which is weirdly compulsive listening as well. More study needed. 1 Quote
Downunderwonder Posted December 19, 2023 Posted December 19, 2023 A song rich in harmonies that flows really, converted to a corresponding set of harmonies, also flows really well. Big deal. All that proves is the system is valid. Could be useful to composers who want a shift of mood without changing key? Quote
