New bass head vs preamp

A bigger cab with more speakers or a bigger speaker might be the solution, as that will move more air and therefor sound louder.

If getting a bigger amp I would suggest a 500W one, as, as I already mentioned, a 300W amp is only going to be about 1.5dB louder.
