For anybody thinking of building a cab or upgrading the connectors to Speakon, I found this on Ebay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/165973127947

 

Two connector plates, each taking two Speakons, plus four Speakon sockets. All for under a tenner.

I hope the SpeakOn sockets are all the four pole version. They are, after all the standard connector.

There's no mention of Neutrik anywhere, which means the sockets are probably Chinese replicas. So YMMV, as they say.

Yes, 4-pole. Genuine Neutrik plugs fit nicely. Even if you wanted to replace the sockets with genuine Neutriks, the plates themselves cost £4-80 and up from Ebay sellers, so the sockets are not just free, they're paying you to take them.

Bargain! I was looking for a single plate like this for the cab I'm refurbing, but they don't seem to exist 🤣

 

I also want a neutrik/jack combo socket, but the postage is twice the price of the part, and I'm far too tight to go for that 😅
