Lovely broadcast quality mic great that excels in a number of applications but used by me mostly as a live/recording unit for DB and for spoken voice. In short it's had an easy life and not been exposed to any loud guitar cabs or shouty singists! Selling as I'm using Townsend L22s for voiceover and an Ear Trumpet Nadine for DB

Thanks @51m0n, if I remember correctly I bought it on your recommendation when I was first recording DB around 10 years ago! And yes, a bloody lovely mic 👍

 

PS I'm very interesting to hear what you have to say re modelling mics like my L22s, I think I started a thread somewhere, i'll drop you a link when I find it

I have one of these. They are great. My daughter has managed to break the protective cage around the capsule. It was a sad day. But, it is a lovely mic.

Yes, the mic itself doesn't, it's a standard stereo unit in many respects (albeit a very high quality one), but they work with UAD software to model the characteristics of a wide range of mics. Much like other modelling tech, it takes a bit of time to accept the break with time honoured traditions, but once you do, wow life gets easier, especially given you can switch mic models/placement/axes in post-production, meaning you don;t have to faff around with mic selection when tracking. Great kit
