Chewie
Guys and gals........... Can someone put me out of my misery? Has anyone ever seen an original P with stock black block inlays on a maple neck? Wolverinebass
About 15 years ago, Fender did a "classic 70s reissue" which was Olympic white body (or sunburst), black scratchplate with black blocks, binding and a maple neck. They started off as Japanese models then production got switched to Mexico.

wateroftyne
There’s a Charcoal / Black ‘71-ish, maple & black blocks, in the Fender Bass Book which is supposed to be a factory example. Edited January 4 by wateroftyne

Thor
I've got the Oly White version - it is a really nice bass to play with a fairly shallow neck. It's among my go to's
Ed_S
I had a white one as my main bass for ages - only moved it on fairly recently when I decided to go fully 5-string again. Went with a BAII bridge and the catchily named Delano PMVC 4 FE/M2 pickup in mine. Fine as it was, don’t get me wrong, I just preferred the look.

Afraid I just returned it to stock config and chipped it in at Bass Direct about a year and a half ago, so I have no idea where it ended up after that. Sorry! It was a very nice bass, though - hopefully somebody is enjoying it.
Steve Browning
No. No. No and thrice no. What is wrong with you people? Every time I see that lovely Squier mocha CV bass I want to scream. 🙂

Reggaebass
Talking about blocks on a P bass, I really like this custom shop listed about an hour ago , looks cool https://reverb.com/uk/item/78206578-fender-p-bass-1969-closet-classic-aged-olypmic-white-occasion
Chewie
Slight digression but I've got the CV 70's jazz neck which some folk might like on their P's.
