SamIAm Posted January 14 Share Posted January 14 I've a set of string on one bass, I'd like to move over to another (I cannot simply swap them as one is short scale and the other is not). If I leave a bass for some time (week) without strings is is going to bugg4r the neck? (I know that when I restring it, I'll need to let it settle and set it up again) Should I tweak the truss rod after doing this to remove the string tension adjustment? I want to move the 5 flatwounds to Quinn now (New bass event on Thursday and I want to get the setup done) and I cannot afford to buy a new set at present.
