DJpullchord
How wide should one’s legs be, when bassing? I might experiment. See how wide I can go before comments from band mates.

neepheid
I'm not aware of a British/ISO/ANSI standard amount of leg separation when playing bass
Maude
The optimum amount of shankspan to achieve the perfect equilibrium of balance and image is governed by the scale of your bass, ie a 34" scale bass equals a 34" shankspan.

Marky L
Wide. Might I add though, one should carry out an exhaustive and thorough risk assessment on the slipperiness of both the flooring beneath you and the soles of your footwear. Catastrophic results will occur if you try and push beyond the optimum grippage of the slippage. I can attest to this.
