Fan Made Alternative Mixes

There seems to be a craze on Youtube at the moment with people sitting at their computers and putting together their own (Improved) mixes and posting it.

This version of 'If I Fell' by The Beatles started off OK until the bass came in! 😁

How are they making these mixes? Some kind of AI, or do they have access to the original stems? Or something else?
