Unless you've been in a cave for 30 years, you'll know about this thing. There are about eleventy gazillion Youtube videos of people demoing them etc., and they do a better job of describing it than I could.

There's also a YT video by a chap called FrankenP, detailing a modification to remove the annoying mid cut that the stock unit has. I've performed this mod and it absolutely transformed the sound.

I also fitted replacement 1900-style knobs which look better, feel better and are LOADS easier to see than the originals.
