Acebassmusic
I wonder if I should apply for the position of "poss guitarist"? Or maybe its a spelling mistake and he wants a "posh guitarist" 'cos they're based in Somerset / Devon? Sounds a barrel of laughs! 🤣🤣
ezbass
Gigs in the summer and spring of this year. Sounds like the place you want to be to hear some guy's somewhat skewed, invective about anything it seems. I'm interested by "basic competence" but a "good feel", they seem a bit at odds. As does "basic reliability and discipline", surely you are or aren't? Anyone responding to the ad might get to feel what Gilmour, Wright and Mason felt during The Wall period and beyond.
Beedster
I very nearly applied but I'm looking more for an originals set-list focussed on issues such as contamination of the food chain and the abuses of Big Pharma. Guess the search continues 🤔

Guess the search continues 🤔 I don't know, Chris - he would probably add them to his portfolio of conspiracies if you asked nicely. Or maybe he didn't have room to include everything. I mean, man, he left out chemtrails!
Gasman
I saw this and was amused by the ad using 'Awake' rather than 'Woke' - I guess he's worried about having M15 sleepers applying...
BlackCrow
I always went with no religion, no politics discussed within the band, from either end of the spectrum. And no drunk girlfriends at rehearsal.

Newfoundfreedom
I was going to apply for this but there's no way I'm crossing the great chemtrail belt of north Devon.
prowla
Just imagine rehearsals, or sitting in the van going to a gig.

I did wonder how they could actually coordinate rehearsals, as no-one will want to be tracked by 'the man' by using their phones, and presumably using powered speakers is out as a result of the effects of electromagnetic fields... I think the prospects of "a gig" would seem pretty remote!
StingRayBoy42
I knew there were some nutters on JMB, but this guy is in the homebake aisle (way past crackers and nuts). I kinda want someone to go and audition, then report back.
Newfoundfreedom
There's a guy local to me who had a great band. Then he refused to work with anyone who isn't vegan. He's now a solo act with an acoustic guitar. True story.

Yes and No. I bet Trump rallies pay really well, and no credible musical act allows the use of their material so could be an easy one.
Minininjarob
At least they are being honest upfront about who they want to work with. Saves time wasting on both sides.

basscki
Just spotted this. Given where he is based isn't he concerned with the real "realistic world view" issue of South West Water? ....and bagsy not me that has to tell him about micro plastic in his testicles. funkgod
i was going to apply, but then thought its an ad put on by the gov to weed out all the radical musicians and then slowly one by one bump us off until there is non of us left to tell the world whats really going on, so thought best to hold off till the gov start bumping off those on the list so i would be the only one left, i could then start of a whole new movement against the gov with only me in it so no one to tell me what to think or do, i will then be the ultimate master of my own world. or ... i could just join a covers band and earn a few bob, but then haha keep what i earn and not pay tax to them, yea...that will teach them, now that's radical 🙂 anyone want to join a radical band and not pay tax ? hold on.......... that will be everyone then 🙂 Edited June 8 by funkgod
