I'll need to double check as I've not used my 60B for a while but I don't think it has the option to permanently display the patch name either, it flashes up for a couple of seconds when you change patches but then disappears to display whichever effect block you have selected within the patch. I've had a quick flick through the 60B user manual online and can't see anything obvious to suggest it can be done. But if anyone knows a way to do it on the old unit please post the details. 1 Quote

Yeah, I wasn't sure if it did that (or perhaps I was remembering the B1 Four? I've owned both). But it does that thing where you can footswitch scroll through a few presets, the new one doesn't. 1 Quote

It'd definitely be a handy option to have although with the limited screen space available it'd probably make editing more difficult so I understand why it is how it is. As for the patch scrolling, you never know, that may perhaps come in a future firmware update. Although I don't use that feature myself as I'm only really interested in the 'boring' utilitarian stuff I can see how it'd useful for people with more demanding needs. 1 Quote
stewblack Posted January 15 Posted January 15 (edited) I've just joined the club! Very excited to play with it. Edit: After 20 minutes I can safely say I love it. Extremely tempted to gig it tonight. Always loved Zoom pedals, so simple to navigate, no need for a manual or a computer. Edited January 15 by stewblack Quote
edstraker123 Posted January 15 Posted January 15 I got myself one for Xmas and I love it too. Coupled with the PJB Double 4 and having created about 6 user patches, I'm getting some of the best bass tones I've ever had irrespective of the bass I'm playing through it. 1 Quote
stewblack Posted January 15 Posted January 15 I couldn't resist. Pedal board is back in the car 6 Quote
stewblack Posted January 16 Posted January 16 First gig with the new Zoom (new to me, anyway) and despite only having had it for a few hours it was brilliant. Quick and easy to adjust on the fly, awesome sounds; I could use this and no other pedals quite happily. I've got so many pedals from boutique to big name, no name, hand made, Chinese clones, classic old school, plastic cases, hand painted, digital, analogue, big, tiny super expensive and dirty cheap. But this pedal produced such an amazing bass sound tonight - nothing else I own could do better. Fair to say I'm blown away. 6 Quote

Would be great to try some of the settings you used 👍 1 Quote

Would be great to try some of the settings you used 👍 I only had it for a short time before I had to leave for the gig. Therefore I programmed no special patches just half a dozen individual effects in the first six preset slots. If I needed an effect in a song I scrolled to it and kicked it in when I needed it. I'll give you a more in depth review when I've had time to play. 3 Quote
edstraker123 Posted January 21 Posted January 21 I liked it so much I bought the guitar version MS50G+(as new and for cheap from Amazon warehouse ) and this is brilliant too -so easy to get good tone . I faffed around for hours last night on a Mooer Prime 2 to make 3 patches ,I got a great one on this at first attempt and just using the pedal and no app. 1 Quote

The faster and easier it is to get the sound you want using only the controls on the pedal, the faster and easier it is to adjust in a gig situation. 1 Quote
TobyC Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Hi all - very tempted by this little pedal! I currently have a B3N and a few other pedals (TCE spectradrive, SA aftershock), and was wanting something that can supplement the other pedals with as-needed effects. Was tossing up between this 60B+ and an HX Stomp. I know this topic is done to death, but to those who are properly across the two pedals, aside from routing options etc, is the sound quality light years apart to justify the price difference? If I'm not recording and only gigging, would I notice? And has anyone compared to a B3N, as superficially it appears that most effects are largely identical? Cheers Quote

Cheers If you are gigging, it's worth noting that Zoom have designed the software on the 60B+ so that the patch name doesn't stay displayed but it defaults to one of the fx in the chain. This, plus lack of PC editing ability available on earlier Zoom models, were deal breakers for me and a few others on this thread. Edited January 31 by Al Krow 1 Quote

No pc editing is such a bonus. I can edit the sound instantly on stage like with any pedal. Also the pedal I want to turn on and off remains displayed which is a great feature. But above all the sounds are amazing 1 Quote
la bam Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Can you use a balanced trs cable (jack to xlr) on the output of this direct to the mixing desk? Quote

Checkout the Triton Big Amp as a nice tidy way to achieve something very similar https://www.tritonaudio.com/product/bigamp/ Quote
