Hiscox Split Repair

Talked to Hiscox about a split in a case.
Out of warranty, but...

...told that a soldering iron run along the split will re-seal the plastic.

Handy for preventing the split getting bigger.

Not knocking the repair hint but that is no good for your soldering iron tip!

Will be fine if you clean the tip off straight away after doing it.
Try not to breathe the fumes too much!

or use an already knackered one.

I have a late 70s Fender Bass case in my loft that has a split alongside the handle. I might try this to try to repair it.
