Paulhauser Posted February 12, 2024 Posted February 12, 2024 I think these are some of the best production basses ever. I had a sixer a few years back and it was wonderful albeit the nech was quite substantial for me, both in width and thickness so I sold it in the end, much to my regret. Congratulations @nilorius! 1 Quote

Anyway, i feel much confortable with this 5 neck than with my Fender Jaco 4 string neck, but it's always different for anyone on earth. Quote
BlueMoon Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 Nice one! Yamaha often reassures, and sometimes surprises. I find their quality control very good. 1 Quote
nilorius Posted February 13, 2024 Author Posted February 13, 2024 For a short try, i found that piezzo pickup could give a great intonation especially when playing together with acoustic instruments and brass, not needed for all the time but very usefull at special moments. Anyway i havent tried the instrument with my Aguilar tonehammer and sl112, just on headphones from amp ballanced out to focusrite scarlet. Anyway - impressive. 1 Quote
Rich Posted February 14, 2024 Posted February 14, 2024 Oh good score, these things are amazing. I'm very envious. 1 Quote
TheGreek Posted February 14, 2024 Posted February 14, 2024 I love this body shape - I have 2 TRB1005 basses, so well balanced - joy to play. There's a blue 5er on Gumtree at the moment for £500, along with a 614, a 615 and a 1025x at reasonable prices. Quote
LeftyJ Posted February 14, 2024 Posted February 14, 2024 Great score! I loved the TRB5II's I owned, they felt incredibly solid and well-built. They were the regular bolt-on neck model without piezo's, but still a very flexible and versatile workhorse. 1 Quote
