Cato Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 I've forgotten that strings with silks still existed. I think the last time I used them was pre internet in the early 90s and the local music shop only sold Rotosound Swing Bass. Quote
LowB_FTW Posted February 14, 2024 Posted February 14, 2024 My last set of Rotosound I needed to trim the silk back a bit because I had the same issue this dude did on the first bass where the silk stopped the string going through the bridge hole. In my case it was a 130 B string that caused the issue. Mark Quote
JazzyJ Posted February 14, 2024 Posted February 14, 2024 Had similar issue with a TI B string and a Fender Jazz Ultra. Coaxed it through with a little soap on the silk. Quote

joeystrange Posted February 14, 2024 Posted February 14, 2024 Do people really put masking tape behind the bridge when changing strings?! Quote
SH73 Posted February 14, 2024 Posted February 14, 2024 The answer is : wait.....wait.... Step drill bit... sorted Quote
