I have been playing bass for 25 years now, 23 years professionally. I currently play a lot of gigs in the corporate party market, which pays the bills and means I get to play in some fantastic places, I got back from Cyprus this week, and was recently in Abu Dhabi. I will be playing bass with Ashley Slater's Freak Power during the summer, including a gig at the Jazz Cafe on 27th June 2009. I also play in an Algerian "rai" band...so I get a fair bit of diversity... Gear wise, I have a Wal custom 5 string fretless, it was made for me by Pete Stevens in 1994, I also have a 4 string fretted Wal custom made for me in 2006, a Fender Jazz '75 reissue, and a Fender Jazz 62' reissue fretless...I play all of these through Ashdown amps...or whatever is provided at the gigs abroad. Oh...and I am also a baritone opera singer... Anyway..blah blah etc...I look forward to chatting on here and making some new friends in the bass world... Best things Richard Quote
