Webby308
Can anyone offer advice on a good tech who could take on a Wal that drains it's battery? It used not to, so something has changed and when I look in the cavity at the back, all looks well - no lose connectors/wires/solder joints. I know it's just physics (and likely a dodgy jack) but I can't see anything and don't trust my limited skills to fix this. Somewhere in Surrey/Hampshire/Berkshire is fine as I don't think posting it will improve the problem! Cheers!
SuperSeagull
If you could stretch to Brighton I'd thoroughly recommend Badlands Guitars but appreciate a bit out of your area.
NancyJohnson
You're just down the road from me and @cetera. Julien Mullen in Reading was always my go to guy for anything I couldn't sort out myself. His website hasn't been updated in yonks, you could try the mobile #. http://www.julianmullenguitars.co.uk/Contact.htm Edited March 1 by NancyJohnson
chris_b
Call Paul Herman in Leatherhead. He makes them. If you can't get to him directly, go through Charlie Chandler in Hampton Wick.

jonno1981
👋 Julien is a top bloke and very skilled in troubleshooting & all aspects of luthery (might have made up that word). He used to do the setup and tech work for bass gear in twyford and guitar works in Reading.
Linus27
@Webby308 Hello from another Camberley resident here 🙂 As already said, Julian is very good and he's done all my basses in the past. If ever London way then The Gallery is also very good.
Webby308
I did take it back to Wal in the end. Amazing service and a pleasure to visit them. I would have loved to have spent more time surrounded by amazing woods and bits of guitar too. If in doubt take a Wal back to where it was born! Thanks for the other options anyway!
