AndyTravis Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Need a flanger, phaser or Chorus for a song - can’t make my mind up. Will see what works. Quote
Stub Mandrel Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Yesterday got an email saying the Brassmaster will be delayed by at least a week 😞 Quote
thisisswanbon Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Managed to squeeze one last pedal in for 2024! Cali76 BC Arrived at 16:00 yesterday, lashed it onto the board and off to the gig I went... tuner running in batteries now until a more suitable solution sussed. Think I had the input gain set too high, but certainly liked what it added... Also sussed out to record stems from the desk, so may be able to do something with recordings if its a help to people making pedal decions 🙂 3 Quote
scannerman Posted January 1 Posted January 1 (edited) My regular board at the start of 2025…. Digitech Ricochet last to join the party earlier this week. Few pedals out of view, just like football subs waiting for their turn😀 Edited January 1 by scannerman 2 Quote

Would love to try one; been looking at their SubZero v2. Quote

Honestly, I'm on the fence with it. It does the OC2 voiced thing better than the Octabvre, which had me really excited... but gigged it last night and it just felt lost on the mix, it just didn't have the same presence as the 3 Leaf. This is going from my in ear mix and gauging the rumble from the subs; we use any line array RCF Evox 12 set so it's very directional with very little bleed to the stage. I'd have to hear the actual sound out front to be sure, I'm hoping some videos emerge... 1 Quote

Apparently they are marvellous . A cast over here in NZ has one, he loves it. As far as I can tell it's a great piece of kit for people who don't use an amplifier 1 Quote

I think (think) the name comes from a portmanteau of "Simulator" and "Amplifier", rather than the word "simplify" 3 Quote

tayste_2000 Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Hand Painted 1 of 1 Zvex Super Duper 2 in 1 Concert Bass Mod. I heard the Jive is basically a SHO and this is 2 in the same box and I enjoyed the Sunn Concert I played a while back so should be a win. Won’t get my hands on it for a few months but had my eye on it for a while and worried it would disappear and never again be purchasable. 2 Quote
Quatschmacher Posted Monday at 22:36 Posted Monday at 22:36 (edited) Well, I fell off the gear abstinence thread wagon pretty spectacularly after just one day. First an Origin BassRig 64 and then a ridiculously inflated Octabvre MKII. I regret nothing, other than foolishly selling the latter years ago for about 45% of what I’ve just paid to get another. (I may need to sell a couple of things to recoup some costs; if anyone is after a Source Audio Artifakt, my spare one may be appearing soon.) Edited Tuesday at 17:39 by Quatschmacher 4 1 1 Quote

As a master of synthy stuff, have you tried running your C4 into it for FOH? The cab sim colouration is the only thing that scared me off getting one! Quote

Hopefully tomorrow or the day after (weather permitting). In all honesty, my C4 has been in the box for about a year. I would have thought that something which passed more high end would be preferable. I got to try the FI and C4 through a Barefaced BBII and a TC RH750 when I bought my P bass from @GrammeFriday a few years ago (hi, Nick!) and it sounded absolutely glorious; it really let all the brightness of the oscillators through as well as the meaty bottom end. Quatschmacher Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago (edited) Teenage door-answering ineptitude means I now won’t get the BassRig until Saturday. A similar fate almost befell the Octabvre MKII I managed to snag but fortunately UPS left it on the doorstep and I was able to ring said teenager as soon as I got the email notification so it could be brought into safety. There may be a board photo tonight. Edited 5 hours ago by Quatschmacher 2 Quote
2pods Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) What will the inept teenager be tonight ? Edited 4 hours ago by 2pods Quote
GisserD Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Snagged these 3 beauties recently. Modulation, delay and reverb by IK multimedia. They were released a few years ago obviously going after the strymon market share. However they don't seem to have taken off and seem to be on their way to being discontinued if they aren't already. I snagged each one for a tiny fraction of the RRP and no longer have gas for another hx stomp. They sound great and I can tweak super easily on the fly. 6 Quote

For an illustration of what I’m working with, I told him to take it in from the back doorstep, to which he genuinely (and not not the first time in recent history) asked, “which one is the back door?” 🤦🏻♂️ Edited 4 hours ago by Quatschmacher 1 Quote
