;)

IGMC

Taxi !

Seriously, looks interesting

Are you an IT Crowd fan by any chance?

The Puppy is mad. The controls are super sensitive.

I’m going to try that compressor setting there - extreme parallel stuff going on!

This thing is so easy to dial. Very transparent. I can say this is definitely my fave among the Cali and Empress I’ve had. It’s like you’ll never know it’s on till you turn it off.

This is my current fave setting.

I’m ever so tempted by those Studio One’s

Not much demos on youtube but this one definitely adds to one of my fave preamps. I’ve only fiddled with it for a day but dang! It seems like it puts a smooth polished finish on the end of my chain. No matter what I do to the signal prior (fliptop and comp settings) once it hits the Studio One it cleans it up, smooths it out and makes it sound like a better warmer version of itself if that makes sense.

I've never been able to get clean low-end like this, I tend to push the low-end a bit but still has nice definition and heft. There’s some kind of Broughton Magic on the red gain knob. You can’t overdrive it unless there’s a boost or drive pedal in front but it adds a rich warmth to your tone. I feel like I can push this further with much clearer, usable results. Studio quality indeed, Love this thing!

Here’s how it sounds when I got this few days ago I immediately tested it. Fliptop into Studio One. No mixing on the DAW in my bass track. It’s my settigs on my pedals only.

How does it compare to your old microtron?

I’ve not had that since last year so can’t really say with certainty. It’s definitely a comparison I’d like to do for sure.

Until a few weeks ago I'd been stuck on Boss pedals - loving the symmetry of them all lined up matching. But Christmas brought a Joyo "Oxford Sound" for my mandolin, and today I added a Donner "Harmonic Square" pitch shifter I've just bought from @Oldman. A nice pedal in a very neat little package compared to my Boss pedals.

Glorious. I need one.

Glad you like it. Looking forward to a full review! I found it compared really well with the Musitronics version despite everyone saying it was rubbish (but obviously they had never tried either)

I’d still like to try the original sometime. Would like to try the 3x again too.
