tauzero
Just watching a TOTP from 1992 and Julia Fordham was on it. Her bassist was playing what I'm pretty sure was a headless 6-string (well, I'm sure about the headless bit). Didn't seem to be any particularly good shots of it though. Any ideas on identification? three
That bass sort of rings a bell. It looks like the bass player on the original track was Larry Klein but I'm pretty sure that's not him on the TOTP appearance. I'll be interested to know if somebody can identify the instrument - from what I can see, I like the look of it

It's certainly not Pino, so leaves only Alan Thomson or a.n.other?!?
Pea Turgh
Bogart?

Funnily enough, I played one at Bass Direct a couple of days ago (the 5-string, not a 6) and wasn't taken with the neck profile. That's saved me some money and kept me in the 2024 abstinence challenge.
GBH
Think it is a LeFay Pangton, there was one reviewed in guitarist magazine around this time, and I think Malcolm Foster used a fretted one when he was in simple minds.

I remember wondering about the slightly RIM Marseerish tail end of it (the fish tail) but knew it wasn't a RIM.
Russ
Pretty sure it's a Pangton too. https://www.lefay.de/index.php/EN/bass_models/pangton Edited February 26 by Russ Forgot the link!
