greyparrot Posted February 27, 2024 Posted February 27, 2024 (edited) Hello, just treated myself to this Ibanez BTB605MS fan fret. Really nice bass, lots of punch. The tracks I use are from karaoke version where you can remove the bass etc from the track, so no need to play n top. Thanks Edited February 27, 2024 by greyparrot 3 Quote
Paddy777 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Great bassline that! @greyparrot if you use the Karaoke instrumentals on a track like this when doing a bass cover on YouTube do you avoid the copyright claim/potential copyright strike? I’ve uploaded a few covers on various accounts over the years but I pulled them all down, and they would almost always get a copyright ‘claim’ and occasionally it’d get pulled down or you’d get a strike for it. Is this a way to do it and be able to keep them up & not have to share ad revenue and all the other stuff that comes with a copyright claim? Cheers Quote
lowdown Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago (edited) I'm pretty sure the studio version was played by Freddie Washington. Lee Sklar did a tour or two with Phil Collins. Edited 12 hours ago by lowdown 1 Quote

You’re absolutely right - this video 👇 from Vertex Effects where they interviewed him about all his most famous basslines he breaks it down and talks all about it (21 min mark he starts talking about working with Phil Collins) played on his Ken Smith. The video is well worth watching from start to finish actually 1 Quote
