Rickenbacker pickup wiring question....

Basschat Hive Mind...

 

 

A long shot but does anyone have any ideas about the wiring for this Ricky neck pickup, which wire might be the ground or the hot?

 

Its a rewind of a old, completely dead pickup and the people who did it are not replying at the moment and I'd like to get it fitted to my waiting 4003..

Try it one way. If the sound with both pickups on is thin and weedy then swap the wires. Easy.
