Bargain

Saw this on Gumtree, 96 USA Jazz for £350. I immediately responded saying it was far too cheap and would happily pay more, alas someone got in first and bartered him down to £250 as it had crackly pots FFS 😂 Probably took the shirt of his back too...

Given that the photo has a large SWR rig in the background, it's surprising the seller didn't seem to know the value. I wonder if it's a bitsa. Scratchplate is wrong (should have a chromed part for the pots and the knobs are Strat types. You may not have missed a bargain after all.

I had a jazz with that style scratchplate and knobs. Can’t recall much about it other than it was Mexican, not US. I swapped it out for a more standard scratch plate and bell plate. Still got it I’m the spares box.

 

Still a bargain either way.

It has the black plastic insert in the truss rod channel which they don't use in US instruments, that I am aware of.
