CAD design/renders

Hi

not sure is this is the right place, so sorry if not.

As well as playing bass/guitar I do 3D CAD for a job.

I’m just curious - when you design a new guitar do you use CAD software or sketch it in paper? I would be interested in trying to do a bass/guitar in 3D…. If it would help you design them I would love to be involved.

Cheers
Glyn

All the designs I've done of late (Bass/Pedal/MIDI Controller/Pedalboard/Etc) have started as a pencil sketch and then are completed in Fusion 360 using the free account.

Nothing significant ... I lost most of them in my fire (They were local saves only)

I would love to be able to use CAD.  I've tried several times, and even had a few lessons.  But I just can't get it, my brain rolls it's eyes and looks away in disgust.  So, I do everything on paper, full size.  One top view and one side view.  This is for an acoustic bass and the side view is really important for getting the neck joint and neck angle dialed in.
