Gwilym
With out knowing the exact budget, its difficult to gauge what "cheap" is. However, if weight is not too much of an issue, it seems to be a great time to buy quality used bass cabs. Many seem to be downsizing or going down the super-light-weight route, so there always seems to me to be a few bargains to be had on the older heavier (in some cases not so heavy) cabs. adriansmith247
Hi everyone thanks for all your input. I think I’ll look out for a more powerful amp and sell what I have. There are a few options on sale now that I am looking at.

basstone
How about this? Certainly cheap and Cardiff not too far from Somerset. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/145665428180?itmmeta=01HS6SFCCZ9FWP0VNQDH2GCC4W&hash=item21ea560ad4:g:sMEAAOSwPkNl8ta5&itmprp=enc%3AAQAIAAAAwOaGlrG7LxME5a%2B7Y3bSJUHmbjMGfkOuEUSI54EM28JJPVsMk0RwlIZK9vG%2FfSXNg8YtP6Kn8V7kplUdmg9UFNTGxoQtWffcVOZRjOcSLa4KdjNIb21jZiF36AARjDAi4EssY2pqQ8rAQO%2B1aEiiQAAoPuZLzctXB1x4EBzxNg7pE%2B2NCDRsCy7iengSsiZg%2BPpIGP3GhFjaZzFzX1XIlvkdVT2K6UEPjt0ytHB%2F0IGg%2BdlQaT%2BvkqYk9ZAN5WwaeA%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR87GvdnJYw Or this one, a bit further away but maybe? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/285761416036?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20231107084023%26meid%3Db17d59b990f044f397077bfbd58ad896%26pid%3D101875%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D145665428180%26itm%3D285761416036%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D4429486%26algv%3DSimplAMLv11WebTrimmedV3MskuWithLambda85KnnRecallV1V2V4ItemNrtInQueryAndCassiniVisualRankerAndBertRecallWithVMEV3CPCAutoWithCassiniEmbRecallManual&_trksid=p4429486.c101875.m1851&itmprp=cksum%3A285761416036b17d59b990f044f397077bfbd58ad896|enc%3AAQAJAAABgLSVkHmTL63bebovD9RfpraPWbY9f4anjbziTIaEIOVXg2DWhVLks3Lfqff9vxxfjIh4XEXusIehlT2iEH8%2BCxXNySMxlDIQJ3g86%2Bx3AAIAq9gznqdGSR72ksP41kjzPN1reUbVsJuld0S4i4qXlQfTmkMeIJTCXTM8mLpr7ju2fMvruDu87ZX%2B4bShOvD%2B4hD%2FWW4%2FELF9ReLe2Iq7fc%2FXx5fy0HaN47NLwpWfT%2B0SiSLSmgMc97%2FzEqC93bMAAu5P4uFN07qLYF5fnYhF7Ek%2BVC%2Bo5E05GzOd8QkeLM95rX4moKjrBolN82MsldZtcGWlaZ0CA36vMmPEQpnEynavJJOv9OQp%2BOmf3b4bW4lno2DER85f3TF7xGqwPLhz3Go7BEJo8Ck96OAzEZzOIvuzWrgRE0JFqPbXstZ20y%2BM75ju1X7peF9Jh7WJz0Lxbk36r81xidwJPgvqD7xV0h1%2FW8BjQkcIZL2DHUEEFUhssrqw53KLhSuFQ97wCTSMqw%3D%3D|ampid%3APLX_CLK|clp%3A4429486&itmmeta=01HS6SHA401ANEFRCB04Y4R0TC
basstone
Another, maybe worth looking at. With the two cabs a few options for power / loudness are available. May be open to offers as no bids yet? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/235469422986?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160811114145%26meid%3Daad6586018f74384b6687f60a4569d7b%26pid%3D100667%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D8%26sd%3D264686161346%26itm%3D235469422986%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2351460%26brand%3DGallien-Krueger&_trksid=p2351460.c100667.m2042
bassbiscuits
I gigged a cheap 300-watt Ashdown MAG series head for years, so I wouldn’t dismiss 250w as too quiet. + 1 on the Genz Benz 212tx. Great cabs, lightweight and about £350 secondhand if you can find one. I wouldn’t bother spending money on boutique niche cabs. Plenty of good reasonable kit out there. Good luck with the quest! I giiged a MAG 15” combo for years, it was fine then but I would not use it now. The head would be fine with a decent cab. What represents a decent cab is of course a matter of taste.
