CITES - does this still apply?

I'm a little confused about CITES. This was a massive pain around 2017 when I imported a guitar from Japan. It's not an experience I want to go through again...

I'm importing a bass from outside of the UK, to the UK. Specifically I'm looking to import a Hofner 500/1. Is this something I would still need to provide documentation for or can I  just import without worrying? The instrument isn't vintage.

Anyone with recent experience, or knowledge? Cheers!

Things have changed considerably. Instruments are no more treated the hard way. Only if the instrument was very old and would contain those very rare species that a Hofner does not contain.
