Hi all, I'm selling 6x Hipshot Licensed HB6 Ultralite Bass Machine Heads, perfect for a 3x3 6 string bass. These are the satin chrome varient, with 3/8" post which fit a 14mm headstock hole. Excellent condition and full working order.

Are these interchangeable left to right?

Officially no, but a search tells me some people over on Talkbass have reversed them with no problems, depending on how handy you're feeling

It's only one I'd need reversing. I'm not 100% on whether I'd bother upgrading the existing tuners on the bass i have in mind for these, but I'd need to know for sure if one can be reversed before giving it proper consideration. Would you be willing to (non-destructively!) see if its doable? No worries if not!

I've just taken one apart and unfortunately it can't be reversed - the main housing isn't symetrical so there's no way the shaft will fit in the other side. Sorry to get your hopes up!
