Difference between Sadowsky metro express EQ and U.S. version

In a nutshell, what is the difference between the metro express EQ compared to the U.S. Version? Is it just the VTC option?

I thought the Metro Express had some generic EQ and not an actual Sadowsky unit?

I was under the impression that it's functionally the same aside from the VTC, even down to the backwards wiring of the blend pot.
