ead
Most unusually for me I have pre-ordered one of these. Hopefully with a few mods will be a decent enough and gig-able substitute for the real thing. https://www.fender.com/en-GB/squier-electric-basses/jazz-bass/limited-edition-classic-vibe-mid-60s-jazz-bass/0374533505.html Edited April 11 by ead

Dot and binding always looks better than blocks IMO
LeftyJ
Yep! It's a 1966 reissue minus the lollipop tuners. Looks great.
BassAgent
Oh wow, that looks stunning! Hope it sounds as good as it looks. But well, being a Squier CV, I guess it'll be fine.

Yea fingers crossed. HB7s with lollipops very much most of the upgrade plan. Not much else although depending on the sound, a KiOgon loom may be on the shopping list. Maybe there are going to be fewer in circulation than I thought.

At least two retailers are still taking order so I have tried with Thomann on the basis that they may have good purchasing power. Quite annoying really as I bought the tuners in case there was a rush on them as well. Still I'm sure I'll find a good use for them.
