Squier announces antigua Precision and VI

I sent these round the band yesterday after I had an email from GAK about them, saying we could all have matching guitars. One guitarist was very keen. The other decided not to comment 😅

I know there's fans af Antigua out there but I've also heard it described, more than once, as Fender's most repulsive finish ever.

 

Personally, while I'm not sure about the other models in that picture,  for some reason I reckon it really suits the Bass VI

I'd be more interested in the P if the neck had dots instead of blocks. I don't know why Squier (and Fender) have blocks on their 70s Precisions when almost every genuine 70s Fender P I've seen has just had a normal neck on it.

But, unlike silverburst, I'd happily own them all. That VI is something else.

Some paint jobs, like Antigua are very Marmite (you either love them or hate them). I'm not a big fan of Antigua but do love the Dark Knight paint job but some others hate it. Personally I get a tingle every time I see one.

Agreed. I'd have a pair of Classic Vibe Precisions in walnut if they had dots.

Always liked Antigua, but then, I have no taste. Quite relieved there's no Jazz. And I definitely don't need another Strat. Do I?
