BassAgent Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 Limited editions for 2024. They're so hideous I want a VI. 10 1 Quote
MichaelDean Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 I sent these round the band yesterday after I had an email from GAK about them, saying we could all have matching guitars. One guitarist was very keen. The other decided not to comment 😅 7 Quote
Cato Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 (edited) That's going to split the crowd. I know there's fans af Antigua out there but I've also heard it described, more than once, as Fender's most repulsive finish ever. Personally, while I'm not sure about the other models in that picture, for some reason I reckon it really suits the Bass VI Edited April 11, 2024 by Cato Quote
Jono Bolton Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 I'd be more interested in the P if the neck had dots instead of blocks. I don't know why Squier (and Fender) have blocks on their 70s Precisions when almost every genuine 70s Fender P I've seen has just had a normal neck on it. 3 Quote
Highfox Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 I'm going to find it hard to resist one of these Quote
Rodders Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 Its ugly but kind of cool, now I have the chance to own one! I'm with @Jono Bolton though, it would look better with dots than blocks.. Quote
Cosmo Valdemar Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 Truly disgusting, like silverburst. But, unlike silverburst, I'd happily own them all. That VI is something else. Quote
gjones Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 Some paint jobs, like Antigua are very Marmite (you either love them or hate them). I'm not a big fan of Antigua but do love the Dark Knight paint job but some others hate it. Personally I get a tingle every time I see one. Quote

I'd have a pair of Classic Vibe Precisions in walnut if they had dots. Quote

neepheid Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 I love blocks on any bass. Can't love the snotburst though, sorry. 1 Quote
badger Posted April 12, 2024 Posted April 12, 2024 are they white and gold or blue and black? either way, they're foul. & wtf is going on with that Tele scratchplate? 1 Quote
uk_lefty Posted April 12, 2024 Posted April 12, 2024 While I like the finish... It does make me think of a very badly stained pub toilet. 1 4 Quote
Bassassin Posted April 12, 2024 Posted April 12, 2024 (edited) Always liked Antigua, but then, I have no taste. Quite relieved there's no Jazz. And I definitely don't need another Strat. Do I? Maybe a trip to the doctor is in order if anything that colour is excreted... 1 Quote
Happy Jack Posted April 12, 2024 Posted April 12, 2024 I always felt that Baritone Guitar was a better (and more accurate) description. Quote
AndyTheBassBison Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 Would love a precision! Agreed, should have dots rather than blocks. Quote
asingardenof Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 I've just realised this colour scheme reminds me of a fungal nail infection. 1 3 Quote
